About this program
The Master of Interaction Design is a two-year postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus for graduates from other fields who want to move into interaction and user experience design. Students develop advanced knowledge of the design process for interactive products that are usable, uncomplicated and human-centred, building in-depth technical skills over two years. Graduates work as interaction designers, UX and UI designers, service designers and product designers across technology, government and consulting.

- UQ calls subjects "courses" within this program. A sample of what you will study includes: Design Thinking, Digital Prototyping, Human-Computer Interaction, Social and Mobile Computing. The exact course list and any core versus elective structure depends on the specialisation and study plan you choose, and is confirmed in the program's official course list at enrolment
Admissions
To be eligible for entry, you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a field other than interaction design, multimedia design, human computer interaction, human-centred computing or user experience design. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. *Please note that if a graduate certificate (or graduate diploma) from the same program suite is used as the basis of entry into the program, you will not be eligible for credit towards the master's program.
