About this program
The Master of Sustainable Energy is a 1.5-year postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus that builds the skills to tackle global energy challenges and the shift to a low-carbon future. Students learn from academics, researchers and industry practitioners about energy generation, distribution and supply, and the transition to sustainable energy, in a flexible structure designed to fit around work. Graduates work in energy policy and planning, renewable energy projects, energy analytics and management across utilities, industry, consulting and government.

A sample of what you will study includes: Sustainable Energy Technologies and Supply Systems, Energy and Development, Energy Transitions in Industrial Processes, Energy Investment and Finance, Net Zero Pathways for Business, Energy Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Energy Efficiency and Transport, Energy Markets, Law and Policy. Admissions
Masters program a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (see below). You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification * Please note that if a graduate certificate (or graduate diploma) from the same program suite is used as the basis of entry into the program and you do not have a degree in the relevant discipline, you will not be eligible for credit towards the Masters program Relevant disciplines for previous qualifications Relevant disciplines include engineering, science, environmental management, economics, commerce, business, public policy, international development, information technology, energy, law or architecture/design.
