Course structure

- A research degree primarily focuses on independent
- original investigation under academic supervision
- enabling you to contribute new knowledge to your field while developing advanced research skills and subject-matter expertise. Option 1: Master of Research General (16 Units) Research Training Courses (2 Units) Students must complete RES9004 Research Design and Methodologies and either RES9005 Qualitative Research Techniques or STA6200 Statistics for Quantitative Researchers. RES9004 - Research Design and Methodologies (1 Unit) OR RES9005 - Qualitative Research Techniques (1 Unit) OR STA6200 - Statistics for Quantitative Researchers (1 Unit) Masters Research Project Courses (14 Units) Students are automatically enrolled for each required study period into one of the below RES courses

Admissions
Completed a 3-year degree at an Australian university or equivalent, with a GPA of 5.0/7.0 or above, or equivalent score, in a relevant discipline or Completed a 3-year degree at an Australian university or equivalent, and have successfully completed a coursework masters, with a GPA of 5.0/7.0 or above, or equivalent score, in a relevant discipline plus Acceptance will be subject to the availability of, and endorsement by, a UniSQ supervisor. In addition to the above, students in the Psychology research specialisation will need to have completed an APAC-accredited 3-year sequence undergraduate program in psychology and to be current in the area of psychology. This means students need to have commenced their studies in an APAC-accredited program no earlier than 8 years previous to the year of application and have satisfied requirements for the award of the degree no more than 3 years previously. The rationale for this is to ensure students can still demonstrate a breadth/depth of knowledge, skills, and application in psychology and meet Australian Psychology Accreditation Council competencies.
