About this program
The Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Sydney builds a competitive edge in mathematics, computing, data analysis and problem-solving, with pathways in pure and applied mathematics, statistics, financial mathematics and data science. From the first year, students engage with core concepts in mathematics, statistics and data science, then tackle increasingly complex problems and group projects that require independent hypothesis formation and critical evaluation of evidence.
