About this program
The Bachelor of Social Work is a four-year professional qualifying degree that prepares students to practise as social workers while also completing around two years of study in related fields such as sociology, diversity studies or gender studies. The course combines classroom learning with supervised field placements and is delivered face to face at the Camperdown/Darlington campus over 192 credit points. It is accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers and meets the Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards, so graduates are eligible for AASW membership. Graduates work in health services and aged care, child and family services, disability and women's services, community development, migration and refugee support, individual and family counselling, policy development, advocacy and research.
