About this program
The Graduate Diploma in Publishing at the University of Sydney gives students the skills needed for book, magazine, digital and online publishing, combining professional training with a scholarly understanding of publishing's history, cultural significance and changing directions. Students complete a minimum of 24 credit points of core units and up to 24 credit points of electives, drawn from the Arts and Social Sciences Publishing program.
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences supports research of national and international standing across the publishing field. Graduates establish careers in publishing houses, as magazine editorial staff, and as social media editors.

Admissions
Admission to candidature for the Graduate Diploma in Publishing requires: a bachelor's degree with a minimum 60% average calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, including a major in the humanities or social sciences, or an equivalent qualification; or completion of the Graduate Certificate in Publishing with a minimum credit (65%) average, or an equivalent qualification.
