About this program
The Master of Protected Area Conservation at the University of Tasmania builds the knowledge and practical skills needed to work in protected area governance, planning and management. Protected areas cover more than 15 per cent of global land, 20 per cent of Australia and 40 per cent of Tasmania, and effectively managing these landscapes is critical to global conservation and sustainable development goals. Students explore how protected areas are managed across government, private and community settings. The degree takes a minimum of two years full-time and is offered in Hobart and online.
