About this program
The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Honours) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is a one-year additional year of study for students who have completed a relevant bachelor's degree and want to build research skills. Students complete a supervised research project alongside advanced coursework in sport and exercise science, working in UTS health and exercise laboratories.
The honours year is a common pathway into higher degree research and into research-oriented roles in sport science, high-performance sport and health. English requirements are IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing.

Admissions
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline at an appropriate level. Examples include: Successful completion of the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (including C10300, C10302, C10328) or Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Management (including C10301, C10303), with a credit average or better in the final two full-time sessions. In exceptional cases, consideration is given to applicants who have completed the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Management or Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at a pass level. In such cases, outstanding professional achievements are taken into account.
