About this program
The Master of Cybersecurity (Extension) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) gives IT and computing professionals a practical grounding in contemporary cybersecurity, along with underpinning knowledge of computer networks, systems programming and risk management. It prepares students for industry projects or academic research.
Graduates are eligible to apply for cybersecurity professional-level membership of the Australian Computer Society. Study takes two years full-time, with lab-based teaching in the UTS Cybersecurity Precinct. English requirements are IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing.

Completed Australian master's or doctoral degree, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology. OR Completed Australian bachelor's degree, graduate diploma, or graduate certificate, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology with at least 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included).
