About this program

This is the Communication and Journalism specialisation of the UNSW Bachelor of Media, a three-year degree in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture. Students build conceptual, strategic, creative and critical skills for a fast-changing media industry, with a focus on reporting, storytelling, digital and multiplatform journalism, media law and ethics, and strategic communication. The degree includes hands-on production work and industry opportunities, and students can combine prescribed courses with electives from across the media disciplines. It is delivered face to face at the Kensington campus with Term 1, 2 and 3 entry. Graduates work as journalists, editors, producers, digital and social media content creators, communications officers, media advisers and researchers across news, corporate, government and not-for-profit organisations.
