Bachelor of Media (Media, Culture and Technology)
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
A newer-style media degree from UNSW's Arts, Design and Architecture faculty that deliberately sits at the intersection of media production, cultural studies, and technology. Rather than a straight journalism or PR degree, it treats platforms and algorithms as objects of study alongside teaching production skills. Students work across content creation, media analytics, and critical media theory.
Because it's positioned against the backdrop of Sydney's media and tech industry, work-integrated learning options often connect to digital media, advertising, and platform companies rather than traditional broadcast newsrooms, a different emphasis from older-style journalism degrees elsewhere.
