About this program
UNSW's Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics combines three distinct intellectual disciplines to help students understand and act on pressing contemporary issues like justice, inequality and climate change, rather than studying any one discipline in isolation. Alongside a carefully chosen combination of existing courses from Politics and International Relations, Philosophy, and Economics, the program includes courses specifically designed to explore the synergies and tensions between these three fields and assess their combined relevance to humanity's hardest problems. PPE graduates globally are recognised leaders across government, political parties, the public service, NGOs and social activism, as well as banking, consultancy and corporate strategic advising, reflecting the degree's reputation for producing versatile, analytically rigorous graduates. It suits students who want genuinely interdisciplinary training in how political, philosophical and economic thinking intersect, rather than a single-discipline social science degree.
