Undergraduate
Bachelor of Social Sciences
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
UNSW's Bachelor of Social Sciences builds capacity to contribute to real-world social, political and cultural change, focusing on contemporary global and local challenges taught using new and digital technologies for a flexible, rich learning experience. Students combine in-depth disciplinary knowledge in one or more social science disciplines with specialisation in national or international policy-making and the skills to identify and apply evidence in professional practice and policy contexts. The degree explicitly develops professional communication, analysis, ethical decision-making and teamwork skills, demonstrated through strong work-integrated learning and exchange options with industry partners. It suits students who want social science training explicitly oriented toward employability and real-world policy impact, rather than purely academic social science study, positioning graduates for careers in policy, government, NGOs and international organisations.
