Diploma in Media and Communication
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
The Diploma in Media and Communication at UNSW Sydney is a 12-month program that provides a pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Media degree, in specialisations including Cinema Studies, Communication and Journalism, Media Studies, PR and Advertising, and Screen Production. Students complete eight courses in total, comprising prescribed courses, faculty electives and one general education elective in communication and academic literacy, and are awarded the Diploma on completion. Courses match the content and outcomes of first-year UNSW courses but are delivered at a slower pace over a longer 12-week term with more contact hours, giving students more opportunity for consultation, practice and revision as they adjust to university study. It is delivered at the UNSW Kensington campus in Sydney by UNSW College.
