Doctor of Philosophy - Creative Practice
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
The PhD in Creative Practice at UNSW Sydney is undertaken in the School of the Arts and Media and the School of Humanities and Languages. As with any PhD it encourages initiative and originality and requires a significant contribution to knowledge, but the Creative Practice PhD normally consists of a portfolio of creative work together with a dissertation of at least 45,000 to 50,000 words. The program involves a minimum of three years of full-time study with supervised research, and the thesis is submitted for examination within four years of full-time study. It is based in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture at the UNSW Kensington campus in Sydney, and suits practising artists, writers and makers who want to pursue research through their creative work.
