Doctor of Public Management (Professional Doctorate)

The Doctor of Public Management at UNSW Sydney is a professional doctorate that combines a doctoral thesis with disciplinary and methodological coursework. The research addresses a real-world, work-based problem, with the aim of making a novel contribution to practice. The degree consists of one-third coursework, equivalent to one year full time, and two-thirds research, equivalent to two years full time, over a minimum of three years full-time equivalent. Coursework, undertaken through the School of Business at UNSW Canberra, must be completed before the research begins, and the program can be studied part time or full time.
