Graduate Certificate in Engineering Science

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Graduate Certificate in Engineering Science is a four-course entry point for engineers and graduates who want to update or broaden their technical knowledge, whether that means deepening expertise in their existing engineering specialisation or picking up skills in a new one. The program helps engineers meet or maintain professional accreditation standards while building engineering management skills alongside deeper technical analysis and problem-solving ability. Full credit carries forward into the Graduate Diploma in Engineering Science and the Master of Engineering Science for students who decide to continue, making the certificate a genuine low-risk entry point rather than a dead-end credential. It suits practising engineers who need a fast, targeted way to formalise new skills or refresh existing ones for accreditation purposes, as well as engineers considering a career pivot into a different specialisation.
