Graduate Certificate in Health Data Science

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Graduate Certificate in Health Data Science covers the first stage of the health data science pipeline, building understanding of health context, statistical foundations, programming principles and data wrangling, at the intersection of biostatistics, computer science and health. The 24-credit-point program suits both people entirely new to health data science and those already working in health or data roles who want to formalise their skills, positioning graduates for identified workforce demand across public and private health sectors. High-achieving graduates can continue into the Graduate Diploma or Master of Science in Health Data Science, with the whole pipeline fully articulated so credit carries forward. It suits people from any undergraduate background or with relevant work experience who want a fast, credible entry point into a genuinely emergent, high-demand discipline, completable in six months full-time or eighteen months part-time.
