Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management builds on the shorter Graduate Certificate with deeper training to become a transformative thinker about environmental issues and their social, cultural and structural drivers, rigorously and critically engaging with the sociocultural and political-economic causes of environmental challenges. The transdisciplinary program bridges social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, creative arts and participatory community approaches, building both conceptual tools and practical, experiential skills for ethical, restorative sustainability work. Its flexible format, taught primarily face-to-face or blended with distance options outside field-based courses, suits both environmental specialists and newcomers wanting substantial training before committing to the full Master of Environmental Management. It suits people who found the certificate too brief but want more depth while keeping the option to continue into the full master's degree.
