Graduate Diploma of Food Science
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
UNSW's Graduate Diploma of Food Science builds on the shorter Graduate Certificate with deeper training for graduates from related disciplines who want to develop genuine food science expertise, helping them meet or maintain professional accreditation standards while building stronger technical analysis skills for food science problems specifically. The program suits people updating knowledge in an existing specialisation as well as those acquiring new skills in food science from an adjacent scientific background, with credit carrying forward into the Master of Food Science for students who want to continue. It functions as a genuine middle option between the shorter certificate and the full master's degree, giving students more depth without requiring the full postgraduate commitment, and suits professionals in food-related industries who need a more substantial credential than a certificate but don't yet need a full master's qualification.
