About this program

The Master of Cyber Security (Research) at UNSW Sydney gives students the opportunity to contribute new knowledge within the discipline of cyber security. Candidates develop critical research skills and methodologies and complete a research project that demonstrates original scientific insight, typically over two years of full-time study leading to a thesis. The program is intended to provide the experience and expert knowledge needed to move confidently into a research career, and it can serve as a pathway toward doctoral study. Research is supervised by academics in the School of Computer Science and Engineering and associated cyber security groups, and the degree is based at the UNSW Kensington campus in Sydney.
