About this program
UNSW's Master of Environmental Management trains reflexive leaders, change-agents and advocates who understand not just the ecological dimensions of environmental issues but their social, cultural and structural drivers and impacts at local and global scales. The transdisciplinary program bridges social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, creative arts and participatory community approaches, building both conceptual tools and practical, experiential skills for ethical, restorative sustainability leadership in professional and change-making contexts. Its flexible format, taught primarily face-to-face or blended with distance options outside field-based courses, suits both environmental specialists and newcomers from unrelated disciplines.
