About this program
The Master of International Community Development at Victoria University combines study with practical experience to prepare graduates for careers in community development in local or international settings. Key study areas include community development theories and practices, project design, planning and management, social research and evaluation, globalisation and its impacts on communities, peace strategies and conflict resolution, capacity building, advocacy of gender and human rights, and leadership and governance of local and international organisations. It is the final stage of a three-course sequence following the graduate certificate and graduate diploma. It is offered at VU in Melbourne.

Admissions
To be considered for postgraduate study, you will need to have specific academic qualifications, as outlined below. We also consider non-academic research and work experience for our research candidates. Admission criteria Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any discipline OR Completion of an Australian Graduate Diploma (or equivalent) in a similar discipline PLUS IELTS (or equivalent): Overall score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking)
