Turn your passion for language into a world-spanning career at Western. A Master of Translation and TESOL from Western lets you transform your English language ability into a desirable and marketable skill, and qualifies you to teach English as a second language. Subject to demand, Western offers majors in Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese and Spanish. This program also provides practical and theoretical training in interpreting and translation and equips you with the research skills necessary to conduct a small research project in your area of interest. Taught out of our Parramatta City Campus, you'll emerge with an advanced skills base that lets you combine travel with career opportunities, both at home and abroad.

Admissions
Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree, or higher, in any discipline. Applicants who have undertaken studies overseas may have to provide proof of proficiency in English. Overseas qualifications must be deemed by the Australian Education International - National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (AEI-NOOSR) to be equivalent to Australian qualifications in order to be considered by UAC and Western Sydney University.
