About this program

The programming languages major of the Bachelor of Computer Science (three years, 144 units). On top of the shared computing core it focuses the 54-unit major on the design, semantics and implementation of programming languages, compilers and translators, and the theory that underpins reliable software, finishing with a client capstone project.

The degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society and recognised under the Seoul Accord. Entry is an ATAR of about 75. It is the most theoretical of the three computer science majors and suits students drawn to compilers, language design, formal methods and systems programming, or planning postgraduate research.
