Bachelor of Human Nutrition
Adelaide University, Adelaide, SA, Australia
About this program
A three-year science degree grounded in anatomy, physiology, chemistry and biochemistry, with applied courses in nutrition across the lifespan, sports nutrition, public health nutrition and food science, and up to 200 hours in an industry or research setting in the final year.
It is a nutrition science degree rather than a dietetics qualification: it does not by itself make graduates dietitians. Entry is an ATAR of about 75. It suits students interested in designing diet and lifestyle programs for individuals and communities, working as nutritionists, sports nutritionists, community health workers or food industry advisers, or continuing to a postgraduate dietetics degree.
