About this program
The Bachelor of Midwifery at Adelaide University is a three-year degree that equips students for a career in maternity care, emphasising women's and family-centred care. Students develop the skills to meet the social, emotional, physical and cultural needs of women and their families through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, with supervised clinical practice. International students study primarily on campus with a February start. The degree leads to registration as a midwife. Graduates work as midwives in hospitals, birth centres, community and continuity-of-care models, and rural and remote health.

Completion of a secondary education qualification equivalent to the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), with a minimum ATAR of approximately 95 (or equivalent via VET Certificate IV+ or prior higher education study).
