About this program

The Bachelor of Podiatry (Honours) at Adelaide University teaches students to treat a range of lower limb issues and enhance quality of life for people with painful feet and legs, including those managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and arthritis. Through a blend of theory, practical experience and clinical placements, students develop the skills to diagnose, manage and treat disorders affecting the foot, ankle and lower limb. The degree builds core knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and disease groups, and teaches clinical practice skills in surgery, pharmacology, orthopaedic management, wound management and high-risk and chronic condition care. Graduates enter allied health careers as podiatrists.
