About this program
A shorter, more applied companion to the Master of Finance: 1.5 years full-time (72 units, 54 core plus 18 electives), with a graduate certificate or diploma exit point. The core runs through accounting concepts, principles of finance, economics, equity valuation, fixed income, derivatives and advanced investment management, plus an ethics course, and electives include financial modelling, behavioural finance, fintech, blockchain and international finance.
The emphasis is on applied courses and real-world problem solving rather than finance theory, and the finance courses align with major professional bodies. Entry needs a bachelor's degree with a GPA equivalent to 4.5 on Adelaide's 7-point scale. It suits people who want a faster route into financial analyst, investment or corporate finance roles.
