About this program
Adelaide University's MBA is a compact 36-unit program designed to run 1.5 years full-time, aimed at people who already have several years of management experience rather than a direct pathway from undergraduate study.
The core is 27 units including a capstone course, with 3 units set aside for an applied research component and 6 units of electives students can draw from any postgraduate coursework the university offers, which in practice lets students informally lean the degree toward finance, marketing, or entrepreneurship without committing to a named specialisation. A dedicated specialisation track (Human Resource Management is one option) restructures this into seven core courses plus three specialisation courses and two electives.
Intake runs three times a year (March, June, and August), unusually frequent for an MBA and suited to working professionals who can't always start in February. Graduates typically move into senior management, consulting, or start their own ventures, and the degree leans on case-study teaching and industry guest input rather than a purely lecture-based format.
