The Master of Professional Accounting at Adelaide University is a 1.5-year degree at the Adelaide City campus for graduates from any discipline who want to qualify as accountants. It is accredited by both Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and CPA Australia, so graduates are eligible to begin either professional program. The first year covers analytical tools for business, economics, accounting, finance principles, accounting information systems and corporate law, and the final six months consolidate financial accounting, auditing and assurance. Admissions
A completed bachelor (AQF level 7) or bachelor honours (AQF level 8) degree or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution; OR A completed nested or related graduate certificate (AQF level 8) or higher or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution. This degree requires a Grade Point Average (GPA) equivalent to an Adelaide University 4.5 on a 7-point scale for entry.
