About this program
AIB's Graduate Certificate in Management (GCM) is the entry tier of its nested management qualification ladder and a TEQSA-accredited postgraduate award in its own right. It comprises 2 core subjects, Leadership and Strategic Management, alongside a choice of 2 additional subjects that let students build strategic capability across functional areas such as marketing, operations, finance, entrepreneurship or human resource management. The Leadership subject develops practical leadership capability by having students apply leadership concepts directly to their own workplace, while Strategic Management builds critical thinking and decision-making across functional departments.
Delivered fully online, the GCM can be completed in as little as 4 months accelerated or around 8 months part-time, and can be taken as standalone study or as the first stage of AIB's online MBA, since its 4 subjects credit directly into the Graduate Diploma in Management and MBA without repeating coursework.
Entry is broader than AIB's MBA: applicants can qualify through work experience alone (5 years including 3 years of management or equivalent technical experience), a bachelor's degree plus 2 years' experience, an AQF Level 6 qualification plus 3 years' experience, or a GMAT score of 550 or better plus 3 years' experience.

Admissions
One of: at least 5 years of relevant work experience including 3 years of management or equivalent technical experience (deemed acceptable by the Academic Dean), or a Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) plus 2 years of relevant work experience, or an AQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent learning) plus 3 years of relevant work experience, or a GMAT score of 550 or better plus 3 years of relevant work experience. Completion of AIB's study readiness survey is also required. AIB is not a CRICOS-registered provider and cannot enrol Student Visa holders, so international students study 100% online.
