About this program
This AIB MBA specialisation swaps the later-stage electives and capstone of the generalist MBA toward founding, scaling and managing a business rather than working within an existing corporate structure. It's aimed at students who already run a business, plan to start one, or work inside a family enterprise and want the strategic tools of an MBA applied specifically to that context.
The shared 8-subject core (Leadership, Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Operations Strategy and Management, Financial Management, Project Management, Corporate Governance) is identical to every other AIB MBA stream, so students can generally decide on the entrepreneurial track partway through if their circumstances change without restarting. The specialisation draws its 3 electives and capstone Project toward venture planning, growth strategy and innovation management, with the final Project commonly built directly around the student's own venture or a proposed one.
Like the rest of AIB's MBA cohort, the degree runs 100% online in 8-week terms with no residential requirement.

Admissions
Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent, or an AQF Level 8 qualification in any discipline, or AIB's own Graduate Certificate in Management; at least 3 years of relevant work experience (assessments are work-oriented); completion of AIB's study readiness survey. AIB is not a CRICOS-registered provider and cannot enrol Student Visa holders, so all AIB students, including international applicants, study 100% online.
