Master of Business Administration (Finance)
Australian Institute of Business, Adelaide, SA, Australia
About this program
Of AIB's 5 MBA specialisations, Finance is aimed most directly at students planning a move into corporate finance, financial management or investment-adjacent roles rather than general management. Applicants can already hold a finance degree or be using the AIB MBA (Finance) as their first credential in the field; the specialisation covers general and specialist areas including banking, investment, accounting and superannuation, using universally recognised theoretical frameworks and data-driven techniques relevant to private sector, public sector and not-for-profit organisations.
The shared 8-subject core (Leadership, Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Operations Strategy and Management, Financial Management, Project Management, Corporate Governance) is the same as every other AIB MBA stream, with the 3 elective slots and capstone Project drawn toward finance topics such as corporate finance, investments and financial markets and institutions. The final Project is typically built around a genuine finance-related business problem drawn from the student's own employer or industry.
Delivered 100% online in 8-week terms with no residential requirement, matching the rest of AIB's MBA suite.

Career & PR pathway
Which careers in Business lead to skilled migration depends on the occupation, not the degree title. See the skilled occupation lists guide for which occupations are on each list, and the points calculator to check where you stand.
Admissions
Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent, or an AQF Level 8 qualification in any discipline, or AIB's own Graduate Certificate in Management; at least 3 years of relevant work experience (assessments are work-oriented); completion of AIB's study readiness survey. AIB is not a CRICOS-registered provider and cannot enrol Student Visa holders, so all AIB students, including international applicants, study 100% online.
