About this program

AIB's Master of Management (MMgt) is a research pathway degree, distinct from the coursework MBA suite. It combines an element of Master's-level coursework with an in-depth research project of 15,000 to 20,000 words, usually designed to be directly useful to the candidate's own organisation. It is an AQF Level 9 qualification, normally completed in 18 months full-time to 3 years part-time (with extensions considered up to 4 years in extenuating circumstances), and every candidate is supported by a supervisory panel of a Principal Supervisor and Associate Supervisor(s) throughout the research journey, alongside AIB's wider research community through online forums and webinars.

Entry doesn't require an MBA specifically: a Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7), an AQF Level 8 qualification in any discipline, AIB's Graduate Certificate in Research Methodologies, or AIB's Graduate Certificate in Management all satisfy the academic requirement, and AIB MBA graduates automatically meet the eligibility criteria.

AIB is not a CRICOS-registered provider, so it cannot enrol Student Visa holders; the MMgt, like the rest of AIB's suite, is delivered 100% online.

Career & PR pathway

Which careers in Business lead to skilled migration depends on the occupation, not the degree title. See the skilled occupation lists guide for which occupations are on each list, and the points calculator to check where you stand.
