About this program
The Bachelor of Computing is a three-year degree at ANU's Acton campus that lets students approach computer science from a technical, constructive angle starting with programming, or from a conceptual angle focused on information and organisational management. Technically oriented students can major in Software Development, while those with a conceptual focus can major in Information Systems. All majors are founded on the principles of programming, a broad perspective on the computing profession, the functional structure of computers, and a grounding in mathematics and theoretical computer science for working with abstractions. The degree requires 144 units and can be combined with another discipline in a flexible double degree. Graduates work as software developers, systems and business analysts, IT consultants and project managers across technology, government and research.
