About this program
Bond added this degree to replace its Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, which stops taking students from January 2027. It runs over seven semesters (two years and four months) and moves from foundational exercise science into clinical practice, covering anatomy, pathophysiology, exercise prescription, behaviour change, biomechanics, and digital health.
Students complete at least 500 hours of supervised clinical placement across rehabilitation, sport, private practice, and community health, weighted toward the final year (roughly 70, 70, 180, and 180 hours across semesters three, four, six, and seven). One caveat for prospective students: as of 2026 the program is not yet accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia. Bond has applied and expects a decision in late 2026, aiming for provisional accreditation before the first cohort graduates. Accreditation is what allows graduates to register as Accredited Exercise Physiologists, so applicants should confirm its status before enrolling.
