About this program
A one-year research honours year following Bond's Bachelor of Health Sciences or an equivalent degree, run over three semesters on Bond's accelerated calendar. Students complete advanced coursework in research design and methods and a supervised honours thesis on a health sciences topic matched to a supervisor's expertise. Entry requires a strong grade average in the prior bachelor's degree. The honours result is classified, and a first or upper second class is the usual requirement for entry to a PhD. It suits health sciences graduates who want research training and a thesis before a higher degree, or a stronger application for competitive postgraduate health courses.

Admissions
In evaluating an application for admission to the Honours program, the following will be considered by the Honours committee: The undergraduate record of the applicant, and the completion (or expected completion) of a relevant Bachelor's degree. The standard for admission into the Honours program is an overall GPA of 2.0 (credit) out of 4, (equivalent 5.0 out of 7). Candidates must have completed at least 60 credit points of study related to the general area of the proposed Honours research project in the last three semesters of their Bachelor's degree. Candidates must have been awarded a Bachelor's degree that is related to the proposed Honours research project within the previous three years.
