About this program

CQUniversity's Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121, a vocational/TAFE-level qualification per CQU's own handbook, not a Higher Education degree) prepares graduates for the role of an Enrolled Nurse working under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing nursing care across the health care continuum and all stages of life. It is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), and on completion graduates are eligible to apply for registration as an Enrolled Nurse in Australia. The course is delivered over 18 months in mixed mode, with 400 hours of supervised clinical placement.

Completion of the online literacy, numeracy and digital literacy assessment (Basic Key Skills Builder Testing) prior to enrolment (unless an equal or higher-level course has already been completed); applicants must be at least 18 years old by course completion. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and credit transfer are available for relevant prior formal or informal learning.
