Bachelor of Advanced Commerce (Honours)

Curtin University's Bachelor of Advanced Commerce (Honours) degree. This course is designed for students passionate about developing their professional and research skills in order to become leaders in business and the community and solve real-life business and societal challenges. The course offers the opportunity for students to develop advanced academic and professional skills through a curriculum that integrates discipline knowledge in the student’s chosen field with principles of ethical and responsible leadership and innovation. No matter which discipline students select, the course provides opportunities to work with research leaders and engage in practice-based learning. Students can choose to major in one of the following areas: Business Information Systems, Business Law, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, Management, Marketing, Property, and Tourism and Hospitality. The course provides a customizable curriculum that caters to individual interests and career goals, positioning graduates for careers and leadership roles in their chosen field. As part of the course program, students are presented with various opportunities for industry engagement and practice-based learning (such as through an internship, business clinic experience, or applied research project). In their final Honours year, students will apply all their disciplinary knowledge and accumulated experience to a written dissertation or industry-based research project. Bachelor Degrees prepare students to develop broad and coherent knowledge and skills in a discipline for professional work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 7 qualifications. The honours component prepares students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional work, research and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications.
