Master of Professional Accounting

Deakin University, Melbourne/Geelong, VIC, Australia

About this program

Deakin University Master of Professional Accounting is designed for both accounting and non-accounting graduates who want an accredited accounting qualification. Completing the appropriate units grants eligibility for associate membership of CPA Australia and meets the educational requirements for the CA program of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Institute of Public Accountants, and the Professional Accounting Program. The degree requires 8, 12 or 16 credit points depending on entry point and recognition of prior learning; full-time students study four credit points per trimester across two trimesters a year, so it runs two years and can be fast-tracked to 1.5 or, with enough credit, one year. International students meet the English requirement with a bachelor degree from a recognised English-speaking country, IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, or equivalent. Indicative international tuition is around A$49,000 per year.
