Admissions

ECU students must have completed three years of a four year Bachelor of Music including all core units, normally with a course Weighted Average Mark of 70 or higher and marks of 70 or higher in all Principal Studies and Music History units. Graduates of other institutions must hold a Bachelor of Music degree, typically with a Weighted Average Mark of 70 or higher, plus an audition for classical, contemporary or jazz specialisations, a folio of original works for composition, or an interview for musicology or ethnomusicology. Also satisfied by a Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline, or equivalent prior learning including at least five years of relevant professional experience. International students must also provide secondary school results. Not accepted through ECUs Experience Based Entry Scheme.
