  • 270credit points of core units plus 90 credit points of core options and six 0-credit assessment units, accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Year 1: Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Motivation and Emotion, The Pursuit of Justice, Criminology (Stage A)
  • Social Determinants of Behaviour, Biopsychology Sensation and Perception, The Psychology of Criminal Behaviour, Research in Action (Stage B). Year 2: Fundamentals of Psychological Inquiry, Psychology of Personality and Individual Differences, Corrections and Alternatives to Punishment, Policing and Social Justice (Stage A)
  • Developmental Psychology, Learning Memory and Cognition, Case Management and Professional Skills, Investigating Miscarriages of Justice (Stage B). Year 3: Advanced Methods of Psychological Inquiry, Mental Health and Psychological Interventions, plus two options from Young People and Crime, Global Criminology, International Human Rights or the by-application Criminal Justice Review Project (Stage A)
  • Cultural Issues in Psychology, Applications of Psychological Literacy, plus a Criminology and Justice Capstone Project or by-application Placement (Stage B). Total: 3 years full time or part time equivalent, on campus at Joondalup or online

Admissions

All applicants must meet the academic admission requirements for this course. The indicative or guaranteed ATAR is as published where applicable, or academic admission requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following: AQF Certificate IV, 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider or equivalent, an Undergraduate Certificate, the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test, a University Preparation Course, the Indigenous University Orientation Course, or the Experience Based Entry Scheme. For international students, requirements include secondary school results.
