The Bachelor of Education Studies is FedUni's entry pathway for students who did not meet the subject prerequisites or minimum ATAR for a direct teaching degree. Students who maintain a good academic standard through first year can apply to transfer into the second year of a full Federation University teaching degree, meaning they can still qualify for VIT registration within roughly four years of study overall. The course therefore functions as a genuine on-ramp into a teaching career rather than a standalone terminal qualification.
