Teaching qualifications in Australia are the Bachelor of Education and the graduate-entry Master of Teaching (primary or secondary) for people who already hold a bachelor's in a teaching area. Both are accredited by state teacher regulatory authorities.
Teaching has higher English requirements than most fields, usually IELTS 7.5 with 8.0 in speaking and listening, set by the regulators. Programs include supervised practicum in schools. Fees are moderate, often in the high AUD 20,000s to low AUD 30,000s.
