Graduate ready to teach from birth to Year 6 with our unique early childhood and primary teaching degree Combining early learning expertise with primary curriculum knowledge, our Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary Teaching) prepares you to support children at every stage of their development. The only one of its kind in WA, this teaching degree qualifies you to work in both early learning settings and primary school classrooms from the moment you graduate. Grounded in research and real-world practice, our undergraduate teaching degree explores how play shapes creativity, resilience and cognitive growth. Throughout your studies, caring and experienced educators will support you as you build practical skills using evidence-based approaches while discovering how young learners think, communicate and grow. You'll study key primary curriculum areas such as English, mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences, health and physical education and the arts, all while specialising in early childhood development. Designed as a future-focused early childhood education degree, the course blends theory, classroom simulation using SimLab™ virtual technology and professional experience, so you graduate confident, capable and ready to launch your teaching career. Through extensive teaching placements in early learning centres and schools, you'll apply what you've learned in real classrooms. You can also choose to continue into postgraduate education to build your expertise further. This course is delivered by Murdoch University in Western Australia.

Admissions
A minimum ATAR (or equivalent selection rank) of 70 is required for direct entry, or an International Baccalaureate Diploma total score of 24 or higher. Applicants who do not meet this can gain entry via Murdoch's foundation, bridging and enabling pathway programs, or via recognised prior study, VET qualifications or relevant work experience assessed case by case.
