About this program
A four-year degree (96 credit points) that qualifies graduates to teach across the whole birth-to-year-6 span, from preschools and early learning centres to primary schools, which is a broader qualification than a primary-only or early-childhood-only degree.
Students complete at least 132.5 days of placement across early childhood and primary settings, pass both parts of the LANTITE test and a Teaching Performance Assessment, and the program is approved by ACECQA for early childhood and registered with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute for primary. Entry is a selection rank of about 60 plus a suitability statement and, for teacher registration, IELTS 7.5 with 8.0 in speaking and listening. It suits people set on early-years and primary teaching who want both credentials.
