Master of Education

Murdoch University, Perth, WA, Australia

About this program

A two-year master's (48 credit points) for people already working in education, not a route into teaching. Murdoch states plainly that it is not a teaching qualification and is not accredited by the Teacher Registration Board of WA.

Students choose one major from inclusive and special needs education, instructional leadership, international education (which can lead toward International Baccalaureate educator certification), sustainable pedagogies, or e-learning, and complete research methods units and a supervised research project. Classes run after work or in intensive blocks during school holidays. Entry is a bachelor's degree in any field. It suits practising teachers, school leaders and education administrators wanting a specialisation or a research pathway toward a PhD.
