About this program
Murdoch's initial teacher education at bachelor level is offered as named degrees rather than a single generic Bachelor of Education: Primary Teaching, Early Childhood and Primary Teaching, and Primary Teaching with a Health and Physical Education specialisation. Each is a four-year degree with substantial supervised placement, over 585 hours in the primary teaching degree, and Murdoch uses simulated-classroom teaching technology alongside real placements. On completion, graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia or an interstate equivalent.
