About this program
Flinders University's Graduate Certificate in Project Management degree. In the Graduate Certificate Program in Project Management, you will build a strong foundation in the principles of project management and learn how to apply them in real-world contexts. You will explore project risk management, developing the skills to identify, assess, and respond to risks effectively. You will master project control methods to keep projects on track, on time, and within budget. You will also learn to build strong teams and professional networks to drive project success. Throughout the program, you will focus on applying theoretical knowledge to practical challenges, preparing you to respond to current and emerging issues, trends, and management practices. This program will also give you a strong foundation to continue developing your project management capability through professional practice and/or further study. The course is structured around a trimester model, with topics delivered across three study periods. Admissions
Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. Admission may also be granted based on prior work experience. This will usually include 1 year of relevant work experience in a related field or 2 years of relevant work experience in a non-related field. Admission will be based on the extent to which work experience has enabled the applicant to develop a foundation understanding to Project Management. Applicants who wish to be admitted on this basis need to provide: A curriculum vitae A description of job roles, skills and abilities that demonstrate the work experience requirement Name(s) of two referee(s) who can verify work experience The Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
